Did you ever determine if it was in fact sumping, did you ride it and pull the crank sensor and measure the amount of oil in the sump? Curious minds want to know!!!

No I did not. I just went ahead and tore it apart and put in the new oil pump. It was a 2019 built in Oct of 2018 so I figured whether it is actually sumping or not i might as well still replace it. It was only 150 bucks.
