I installed this in my 2020 S&S 124. Theres been a large amount of oil coming out of the filter. I can actually feel an improvement in performance but the amount of oil coming from the filter now is absurd. Dipstick doesnt indicate overfill but idk

Feeling improved performance is a good thing.
Engine oil operating level is "normal" anywhere between the full hot and add quart measured on the dip stick. I keep mine about half way measured hot to avoid some common problems on my Softail.

Did you install this because your worried about the sumping issue or is it to help performance?
I assume you're asking me? I installed to let the motor breath better and to try and keep any oil out of the intake. I feel no performance difference. FM states they have seen no performance gain on dyno runs. Piece of mind for venting as I suspect that has been some of the issues with the M8 and I like this design.

I just installed one on my ‘19 CVO Limited yesterday. It is an early ‘19 build so presumably does not have the seal.
I did read the memo in the package, but as I have the S&S pump and plate in hand (along with a new cam and the rest of the bits including the oil seal), and I plan to do the camchest upgrades in the next couple of weeks.
I really like the CheckM8 from an engineering perspective - good looking piece and it makes sense to my novice level of understanding.
Reading the posts above, I’m glad they changed the design of the outlet barb - this one was pretty easy to install and routes nicely.
I just reinstalled my Trask CheckM8 and collected a small amount of fluid resembling a White Russian cocktail. I have a 2017 streetglide special with the Feuling hp+ oil pump, so no seal. The oil level is perfect. I posted this video in a different thread:
Pulled the filter to clean it like I do at all oil changes and my intake is still spotless for the last 2 oil changes. No sign of any oil at oil in the intake or breather tubes. Im satisfied with my purchase of the Trask checkm8
