I have over 22k miles with the Trask cover, with over 13k miles since I installed the HD Ventilator air cleaner with the tubes running into the throttle body (no bypass). When I do oil changes I run it right to the full mark. I have no misting or dripping oil from the air filter or the Trask filter.

I did the external breather first because I was accumulating so much oil in the air cleaner and throttle body. This was before the Trask Check M8 was available, then when the Trask Check M8 was introduced, I thought I would try it. I kept the external breathers since I already had them configured. Could be redundant, ??? but I don't know! Honestly, I would have to say I think the motor revs more freely. My compulsively analytical mind rationalizes that I have relieved the opposing pressure pulses in both directions. I need some of the smart guys to clarify this if I'm wrong.

My bike's a 2020 model year and I'm running an S&S oil pump WITHOUT the seal and I have never had oil mist of any kind in or around my Ventilator air filter, even after running hard for hours on end.

all i did was add the Check M8, and ran their supplied vent that is filtered. I did nothing on the throttle body or air cleaner side. No need.

I have a Trask CheckM8 on my bike, the filter is ziptied to my frame below the exhaust mount bracket. I've never had any issue with oil misting out of it.
I have the SE pro (2021) camplate and oilpump with Seal.

2019 SGS. When I went to complete my Stage II upgrade I had them put in the upgraded oil pump. I also have a vented oil dip stick from A1 cycles and I also put an external air breather kit for my Trask Air Assault air breather with a catch can. I have no oil misting or blow back. I am also considering adding in the Trask check M8 as well. I believe there is no such thing as over venting.

Stock 2018 Road King, so no pump seal, lots of misting. I’ve routed a hose back and added a home made catch can. It’s made from an old large pill bottle and zip tied in between the back end of the saddle bag and the fender. I’ll make a better can after “proof of concept” testing this spring.

So I actually went out to my bike today to do some housekeeping stuff, and decided to inspect my checkm8's air filter and saw the wiremesh on it was actually rusting, and there didn't seen to be any oil on it really. So I detached the hose and blew into it just to see if it was blocked off or if it took too much effort to push air through the hose. It was easy to breath out through, so I checked the barb fitting and it had a light coating of oil. I noticed the Tube was not sitting really flush there, and that it was letting oil leak into the top of the transcase. Hit the filter with a bunch of PB Blaster, and ran down to Ace Hardware to pick up a hose clamp. Cleaned up the trans case and barb fitting, cleaned up the hose inside with a Q-tip, and then fitted it all back together, and hose clamped the breather tube.
So my checkm8 works, it was just leaking that little bit of vented oil back down the tube back onto the trans case.
Problem solved now I hope.
