Default Fuel Pumps

from experience, what brand of replacement fuel pump would you use in the M8 ? AND, does anyone know how much pressure it is supposed to have ?

why not just use the OEM?..since being a regular here since the M8 came out in 2016 and on my 3rd one, I have read and heard of practically every problem, chronic or isolated and fuel pumps are one thing that have not been reported as concerning or problematic

Should be 4 bar (~58ish PSI), and factory is adequate unless you're running E85 on a huge engine. If you go aftermarket( like Fuelpumpfactory, or AEM), be sure to wire in a relay, so the BCM doesn't shut power down to the pump ( different current draw from stock).

Did yours fail? Curious about the symptoms, etc. This is the first one I had read about, other than issues related to a filter never being changed.

Thanks!

No, mine didn't fail,(I think). I have a post started elsewhere on this forum; Pop/bang. Haven't got much traction on it. But the fuel pump is the only thing I have not changed it the WHOLE fuel system. (mechanically speaking). If it's not the fuel pump, then it would have to be something electrical, and that is where I give up. I don't know how to diagnose electrical. so I don't even start.

Stock pump works fine. No need to experiment with aftermarket parts.
