Default The 100/100/100/100 ride

Have y'all heard of the 100/100/100/100 ride?
I am not the organizer nor am I affiliated with them.
I just read about it on another MC forum and thought I'd share it here to get others interested.

It is free, no fees to pay to anyone. No webpage with the information that I could find.
Don't ask me more details, please, I don't have any. The rules below are all that I've read.
It is just a ride. For the sake of riding. Do we need another excuse? *shrug*

No location limitations. This ride is worldwide.

Here are the basics:

1. The ride takes place on the 100th day of the year (April 10th this year, a Saturday; Saturdays make it easier for most folks)

2. Age of rider plus bike must equal or exceed 100.

3. You must do the ton (100MPH) at least once during the ride (for those not so inclined, you can do 100KPH)

4. You must ride at least 100 miles.

All fairly easy if you own a classic bike. Plenty of time to prep the bike if it needs work or has been sitting (it happens).

There was a lot of discussion about variations to achieve the 100, such as 50 miles on the way to work then 50 miles on the way back home, or taking a pillion so that your ages would add up to 100, average a minimum of 100KPH for the entire ride, ride in 100 degree heat, whatever you can figure out to have as many 100s in your ride as possible; get creative. 100 miles in 100 minutes - too easy.

You don't have to do it. But it is an excuse to ride!
I do not qualify by myself just yet but with a pax, I will. A good excuse to spread the joy.

How many people really could meet the age of rider + bike = 100? Probably not a big crowd.

That's why you take a passenger and spread the joy.
I myself will be taking a passenger and our destination is likely a BBQ joint.

Again, nobody is forcing anyone to ride. But I thought it was a neat excuse to ride. Do we really need more than that?? (I don't!)

I think you missed it by a week.
But you can still go on a ride. Nothing like a good excuse to jump on 2 wheels and get lost in the wind.
