Default Stranded Again :-(

Well After my last break down less than a month ago & < 700 miles, my Start,Rumble,Rumble Dead condition has come back 130 miles from home & with the wife . Was going through an intersection & it just died & would not restart & stay running.
Called HOG RSA & they basically told me to pound sand because I used my rescue this year, which is Total

, because I just renewed for 2 years as it was about to expire when I broke down last time. I'm going to have some words for them on Monday. Well needing to get home tonight, I had it towed back to the dealer that worked on it 3 weeks ago for the low price of $381. Last time dealer replaced ignition coil, so we will see what they find this time.

This is not very confidence inspiring at all & my wife is really not happy about it. Bike has < 2500 miles & has left me stranded 2 x's, it really starting to suck the enjoyment right out of it. I was contemplating getting a new Fat Boy, but that idea has

I'll keep you posted as to what they found this time.

Do you think your motorcycle insurance will reimburse you for the towing?

Roadside assistant? Some full coverage policies have that feature I believe.

Is the bike no longer under warranty?

Im confused!!! If its still under warranty, what did you pay $381.00 for? Was it for a service or for the bad coil? If it was for the bad coil, you got hosed and I would be talking to MOCO and a attorney!!!!

The HOG membership (basic plan) is only 1 service per - calendar year up to $100. So, that may be why they said you used your allowance - if you had a tow in August of 2015. You'll not be eligible for a tow or any other service until 2016.

The factory warranty does not cover towing.

Plus, you mentioned you have an extended warranty - who is that with? My ESP covers reimbursement of up to $200 for towing for a warranty issue. Since you were over 100 miles from home, it may cover some other expenses you may have incurred.

Hope you get it fixed

This is why I pay the extra $20 a year for unlimited towing with RSA. For $20 its worth the piece of mind. Haven't had to use it with any of my UC's, but did use it with my old Dyna.
