I have a 2006 American IronHorse Legend chopper that needs some work. I know most dealers won't touch these bikes. Anybody have any advise on where to go. I'm not doing anything crazy, but replacing the ignition is not just part swapping on these bikes.
I don't know if endorsing non-HD shops is allowed on this forum (some forums are funny that way, others are anything goes). If its not allowed here, please PM me.
Black Hills Customs is a no go. They don't want to work on a chopper. Funny, a bike shop that has "Custom" in their name that won't work on my production bike.
Black Label got a little funny when it came down to $$ and bringing the bike in. Looks like I'll have to break into this myself.
Maybe I'll bring my HD into Black Hills to get a service just so I have room in the garage to work on the AIH.

What's so funny about that? How about trying to read our name correctly, it says "Black Hills Custom Parts". And you are correct we don't work on choppers per say as first, we can't fit them on our dyno, second, we are challenged for room in our shop. We are NOT a custom shop by the normal terms, BUT we sure can and will build the hell out of any V-Twin engine that rolls through the doors!
