Mystic is 5 hours (one-way) from Mount Washington, NH. It's doable in a day, but not what I'd call an easy day trip.
BTW, I know quite a few people on the CT Rally committee and I know they have got tons of rides, events and activities planned for this year.
Also it's reportedly the last year for the "Regional Rally" concept, so if you want to be able to say "Been there, done that" regesiter and ride on up!

i live in Brooklyn, id most likely go east to the ferry cross the sound into New london, then Jump on 95. thenonto route 1.
