We plan on riding Rt 6 from NJ to Lake Erie, starting the last week in June. Anyone recommend any must see places or roads to ride? Also I heard since they are fracking gas in the area, places to stay are hard to find. Any locals want to chime in?
A place to stay is The Ox Yoke Inn in Galeton. It's owned by people who ride. They have a bar/restaurant there so you can have a few beers and walk back to your motel room.
Wellsboro diner is so overrated. Looks cool on outside, old crabby waitresses and food is marginal.

Hi Jim --- I replied to you in Road Trips. The OX Yoke is now closed & for sale. I agree with Bigwater Jim about the diner. It's over-rated & over-priced, but I guess ya gotta be able to say you were there once! Plus, it's within sight of The Sherwood Motel, so easy to walk to.
