Cabin Fever settin' in
Well, early December and the snow is down and the thermometer says 20'F. What global warming?!
Last night was a 2 wood stove night for us here in northern Mass on the NH border.
Coming home last night from some Christmas shopping with the wife, one spot which was Nashua Harley-Davidson, we met Mr. Bambi standing in the middle of the road on our back road. He was a bigun! 4 pointer and maybe 3 or 4 years old.. tall and muscular and very meaty. We caught him dead in his tracks.. he froze for a few seconds and then scrambled off into the woods. It's one of the hunting season weeks here in Ma. I saw a hunter pass my house yesterday late morning with a shotgun, so it must be shotgun season for something. I'm not a hunter. Can ya tell?
They had the new Steven Tyler custom motorcycles at the Nashua HD place. basically a SE kit on various HD frames with lots of chrome and a Steven Tyler autograph. $40K ($30 for the bike, $10 for the autograph)
So, Stabil in both tanks and wait it out thill March I guess. If it warms up I could end up back out there again, but it doesn't seem to likely at the moment. It feels like the dead of winter.
I noticed that Dawg posted a note over in the Touring section that said "all you southerners suck!" That's pretty much PMS settin' early for all of us.
Well, time for me to start getting serious about practicing my guitar, stacking wood, my photography and various other non-motorcycle activities I use to keep me busy in the colder months. Oh yeah, the wife has a honey dew list as long as my arm.
Stay warm guys, and stay away from whiskey and shotguns!! (Wild women are okay.) Cabin fever is serious stuff!
What put away the bikes .. NEVER !
We are still hoping for another 60 degree day like last January .. LOL ....
We did however rode our last ride on the Dyna's on Sunday just before
the snow storm hit. It was a very short ride by our standards but boy
was it friggin cold. Rode out to a gas station and filled up the tanks and
added some Stabil before we headed back home. They are carb models and
I wanted to make sure Stabil got into the carb. We will ride the Dresser's
if there happens to be any warmer weather .... Hey I can HOPE can't I ?
BTW ... Lynn's SG is getting new wheels & tires plus I.D.S. this Friday.
I'll post a pic when we pick it up.
Have a Happy Holiday Season !
Rob .....

In the mean time, I'll stay sane by coming here and trying to stay busy.
Lynn's bike is going to look awesome with new wheels and the IDS will make an improvement in her ride as well. She'll be stylin' big time!!!

but will NOT put the ride away~you never know!!!!always manage to snag a day here and there.
this cold weather DOES still suck tho....wAAAAAAAAAAAA
How about this fer the Cabin Fever Story!! Sold my Road King 2 weeks ago when the weather was still rideable about 55 degrees and the next week bought a 08 Electra Glide, and the weather changes so I let the dealer store it for the winter. Only seen it once, dealer called me when It came in I ran down to see itas they were installing the detachables! So all I can do is surf the forum, and dream about ridding the new Glide!! Today in NYC it was about 48 degrees I would have rode, seen some bikes out there. Happy Holidays, Bill
