Hey, You Central PA Riders
None of "the usual suspects" could get out yesterday, so I went by myself. Always wanted to go down the east side of the Susquehanna & get the Millersburg Ferry back over to 15. I took 125 out of Shamokin, down to 209. Pretty cool ride, that 125. Must be 20 miles of mountains & hairpin turns, all the way to Good Spring. If you like the slower ride of twisties, to break it up once in awhile, I recommend 125. I'll be back, with the boys sometime!
Just need a recommendation for a good place to stop for burgers & beers, between Shamokin & 209.

Hey Keith --- You must be kind of an old guy too, to be riding a bike like that! One of my buddies, who has an Ultra, told me that a friend of his son's was asking how he liked his Ultra. My buddy told him he loved it, but this kid told him that he didn't think he was old enough to own one yet! How old to you have to be to get a geezer glider?!!! I'm only 54, but I have one anyway! I'll give you a shout sometime if I get down there. I go to my brother's in Bel Air MD once in awhile, and I like 75 to 74 to 34 out of Carlisle.
I'm 52, had my Classic for a year and love it. I was looking at a (used) Night Train and Ultra a few years ago and my nephew said I should not get the Geezer Glide, and it just stuck. I used to live in MD, so I'm familiar with B'lair. See ya!
Didn't stop anywhere. I was by myself & thought I'd check out 125, but when the gang goes, we usually look for a place for lunch. Wayside & Bruisers on 125? I stopped at a place about 10 miles south of Shamokin on 125, at a 4-way stop sign, but they're closed on Sundays. Any recommends on 125 would be appreciated. Thanks. We'll probably be down there sometime --- 125 to Good Spring, to 209 to Millersburg.
Hey Keith --- Actually, he's in Madonna, but it just saves the explanations by saying "near Bel Air!"
If you haven't ridden it, you should go up to 34, to Carlisle, and then 74 up over the hill out of Carlisle. Kind of a cool ride up & down over a couple of hills, with some twisties & hairpin turns. That's usually the way I go down, unless we're going to Battlefield or something, and going back home on the same day. Then I usually just stick to 15.

1 more question for you. When I got to Good Spring, I just stayed on 125. I rode it all the way to 209, but when I got onto that long straight stretch & went under 81, I thought I might have gone too far. Eventually I got to 209. Anyway, on 209 south, there was a sign for Good Spring -- 2 miles. If I had come down 125 & turned right in Good Spring, is that the shortest way to 209 south? Just one right turn in Good Spring? You know the name of the road? Thanks.
