Default Color of bottle ??

I always purchase Amsoil Sever Gear 75/140 on line for my street glide transmission because I cant get it locally any longer. It has always come in a red labeled plastic bottle. On the last order it appears the oil switched from a bottle to a bag? When I went to rder I did see an option for the bottle which I prefer. The bottle that came is blue and seems to be described differently although it still says severe gear 75/140? Is it just a packaging change or did I get something different? Thanks

I will send a pic when I get home tonight. The bottled version in red is what I always received. I requested the non enviro friendly version again with the latest order and the bottle it came in is Blue. It does say severe gear 75/140 but the info on the bottle is different? Im hoping its just repackaged but want to make sure it has the same rating before I change the oil?

They only have one offering in that viscosity so I think your good to go. Just out of curiosity, you don’t like formula plus in the tranny? Have you tried the new HD gear lube for the transmission? I’ve tried em all including Spectro. Haven’t noticed a difference so I just use HD fluids because of availability.

I've only ever used Formula plus in the primary. I use Amsoil gear oil in all my bikes trannys and Amsoil 20/50 in the motors. Ive tried others in the past but this combo has worked real well for me for years

That's good to know thank you. I guess that was actually my question and the way I should have asked it. If that's the only formula in that weight 75/140 then it has to be the same stuff. Logical, I Appreciate it.
