Default Oil Filter Bib

I was browsing an aircraft supplies site and came across this Oil Filter Bib. One issue I see is you need to use one hand to hold it onto the filter, and one hand to twist off the filter. Not sure there's enough room on the bike to do that. Has anyone tried these, and what are your opinions?

Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving to our friends in the USA

I’ve used one for years. It’s moldeable and cleans easy. If you hold your mouth just right, you can get it to fit under the filter to minimize the mess......not eliminate....but it does lessen the oil mess after the filter is loosened.

I will ride the bike to get to operating temperature then drop the engine oil and then place the orange drainage gizmo under the filter and take a punch with a small rubber mallet and place a hole in the bottom six o'clock position of the end of the filter and one in the center of the filter and let drain a while and then remove the filter and don't ever loose a single drop!!
This drains all of the oil from the filter before you even unscrew it!!
Been doing it this way for years even on trucks and equipment!! eliminates all of the mess!!

I just use the HD drain catcher, it clicks into place..first I stuff a couple of square cut up pieces of bedsheet under it...remove filter and drain catcher, then cloth pieces and no muss no fuss on bike..easy peasy no addt'l cleanup necessary

I just use a thin piece of cardboard like a cereal box, my 12 packs of mt. dew. Whatever is in my recycle bin at the time. Does the same thing, it's free, and just toss it when I'm done.

Are you talking about the M8 funnel, or the pre M8 version? I've used both, and could never get the pre M8 version to snap/click/catch onto anything on my Twin Cam. The M8 version works great on my M8 however. A slight twist locks it firmly in place.
