Hey guys, I have read some conflicting information around using engine oil,
specifically 20W50, in the primary and transmission casings. I understand there’s a recommendation to use different oil in each, however, some sources are saying it is fine to use the same oil in all three. Thoughts?
I like to use extra virgin olive oil in mine, the kind made by real virgins uh thank you, but seriously, not saying this is what you should do, but I use elcheapo Shell 20w50 in all three holes, never had issue, put 80+ thousand miles on a sporty using the same oil in motor and primary, also 0 issues.
When you put gas in the gas tank, where do you put the gas cap? It's already been mentioned but go to the oil subforum and think about what you want to use where. By the way do you wear fingerless gloves?

either way is fine..if you do go the three different specific formulas route...make sure not to put the primary fluid in the engine, or the engine oil in the transmission or the transmission fluid in the primary ... and don't ever put blinker fluid in the gas tank instead of stabilizer..that about covers fluid recommendations
