It doesn't take more than a few minutes to get the engine oil nice and hot...... Isn't every bike basically, 'smokin hot' after you stop riding it?....run up to the bank and grab a stack of singles to pass out at your favorite 'young single mom's charity event' that evening and that 10 minute trip will have your bike as hot as it needs to be....if it's hot every time i put it away in the garage, it sounds like you're saying...you never need to warm it up before changing the oil
There was actually more to the post than what you edited, and I said I would have no problem doing it after rolling into the garage hot, and it cooling off like OP was asking
I never said “you never need to…” So it’s not like I am saying, I posted exactly what I meant.

Oil DOES degrade over time. That's why they say to change it despite the mileage if it sits. And leaving oil with contaminants sit in an engine for long periods causes corrosion.
Ii wouldn't run that oil another 4,000 miles as some have suggested. I would run til hot and drain it.

Thanks for the schooling, yet again. FFS.
OP wanted to know if he could change it cold.
Hell yes he can. Which lends itself to what you piped up about, he is actually changing it.
Is it "better" to change it hot, sure, but the difference is negligible, and it is more important that it just gets ****ing changed.
OP asked, I answered. I have stared at more oils sample sheets in the last 25 years, for so many customers, covering just about every scenario you can come up with on an internet search, and I promise this subject is being way over-thought.
