I preformed my first 3 hole oil change on my 04 HD Fat Boy today. I had to literally peel the oil filter apart because it was basically frozen on the bike! Took me 3 hours of peeling the old oil filter apart to remove it! I've changed thousands of filters in my life but this was definitely the worst that I've ever dealt with! I took my time so not to scratch or damage the front jug fins or the painted frame. Oh, the HD oil wrenches suck big time! I have 2 and neither one works. Just spun on the filter. Anyway, got everything done cleaned up. The bike sounds quieter now and seems to shift smoother. I know the next time I change the oil filter it will definitely come off much easier! Just wanted to share. 👍
Get you one each of these, there has never been a filter that I could not remove with one of these. Grabs and does not slip, the harder you turn the tighter it gets.
