3rd hole
i have heard talk of people saying that they use the same oil, amsoil 20w50 syn in all three holes. my question is what is the 3rd hole? i have a 07 rkc and have changed the oil in the trans and the engine oil and filter but what or where is the 3rd hole they r talking about?

primary oil, and you'll need to change it too. some use engine oil, ATF oil, HD primary trans oil and others.

On My Sportster (sold recently) which shared Primary and Tranny Used Amsoil 20W50 for all .. On my 08 FLHT use 20W50 for Engine and Primary.. Amsoil Severe Gear 75W110 for Tranny .. Been working fine for me .. Not suggesting anyone else has to but this has been tried and true for me since 2000 so sticking with what works for me ..

I was running the 20-50 in all 3 holes,I switched to 75-110 in the trans a coupla weeks ago.It seems alot better now,I was getting alot more clunk in all 5 gears with the 20-50 me no likey that,so I changed it out still have a little clunk but not as much.
