I have heard that its a very good oil...I've never used it but,I have talked to some guys that have....they should have a web site were you would be able to locate a dealer or buy direct...I've seen it up for bid e-bay.
Check this site..... http://www.myoilshop.com/index.html
If your choices are limited in your neiborhood, this Redline internet store is fast, real fast with deliveries.
just replaced my trans fluid with redline heavy shockproof.
awsome s%$#,
will be using thier motor oil at next change highly recomended and worth the price.
It's a group IV synthetic.....excellent and right on par with Mobil1Vtwin or Amsoil.....I would use it if you get a good price which would be anywhere under $7.75/QT, also make sure you use the 75w90 gear oil in your trans.
Jurgen, just noticed that you are in British Columbia. 20W50 may not be the oil for you except during the heat of the summer ... you know that one hot week in July. You may need to look at something a little lighter.
I notice it's the only brand my dealer has on the shelf other than H-D stuff at the parts counter.
I've been told, it's because some old schoolers that are old old customers swear by it, and because the use it with their drag bikes.
None of that confirmed.. but it's the only place I've actually seen the stuff.

I have been using it in all of my bikes. Including my 30,000.00 BOURGET lowblow chopper. It helped with the heat and made the bike run alot smoother than the dino junk they had in it. I know bourget recommends going to a syn after you do the break in. As for the royal purple you can but it in a 5 gal can that brings the price down to under $5.50 a quart. For a level IV syn you CAN NOT beat that price anywhere. I will keep using it but I do agree with the other guy that said because of the cooler climate I would probley use the multi 40 weight. Good luck
The 20w50 will be fine........as the pour point on a group IV synthetic multi grade oil will be really low temp and usually well below freezing. It should pour like a 20w oil when cold. On cold days just let the bike warm for a minute. I use synthetic 20w50 here in January. You just have to let the bike idle for an extra minute.
