Yep.....along with hundreds (possibly) thousands of others. Poke around all the forums a bit and jump on into the "great oil filter debate/argument". I have cut open a bunch and have never found one with an internal problem. When I have a Harley filer I use it...when I don't, I use the 3614 and others that are a direct replacement.

There are a few websites out there where various people have cut oil filters apart to demonstrate how they are made. True...the more expensive filters are constructed better than the less expensive ones, except for the K & N. It's basically a Fram with a nut welded on the end of the can, but ranks up there on the high price list. Fram ranks pretty high on the list of undesirables. Let each person make his/her own choice. It certainly makes good sense not to skimp on a filter if you are putting in expensive synthetiic oils.....and I agree with that too, but other companies like Purolator and Bosch make a good filter. There is a forum thread out here somewhere that posted a letter from Champion (who makes the Harley filters) stating that the Supertech (also made by Champion) meets OEM specifications. If you want a larger filter and you have the room, use the Supertech 3600.
I change my oil at 2500-3000 mile intervals and sometimes use the local brand that I can find. I have my motor down for a hydraulic tensioner upgrade and after 44,188, I see no appreciable wear on anything...only the stupid spring-loaded tensioners that self-destruct no matter what oil or filter you run.
This site has some cross reference numbers for oil filters. The number 3614 isn't listed for Harley use, but they may have changed or added numbers. The bypass pressure and anti- drainback specs should be taken into account when using other then Harley filters. Not just the fact that they will screw on.,http://motorcycleinfo.calsci.com/FilterXRef.html
Big...looks like that particular site only applies to the EVO...and yes, the EVO cross is different that the Twin-Cam cross and nothing listed on that site applies to the TC. There is an updated version from the same source that includes the TC also out there somewhere, but I don't trust that guys research. He even lists a friggin' lawn mower sized filter for a TC cross!
There are many other pages out there to find a good cross for the HD filter and the 3614 is definitely listed and the 3600 as well (for a longer filter).
I agree though....just because it will screw-on doesn't mean you ought to use it.
These will also cross to the TC as a substitute:
Mobil 1 m1 102
Bosch 3330
Champion ph2835
Motorcraft fl793 and fl910 (one is longer)
Wix 51348 (chrome 57348)
It's up to the user as to what he/she wants to run, but I am with the crowd that definitely tries to purchase what I need for my Harley ANYPLACE but the MOCO Stealership.
The specs. may tell you it is too restrictive for use on the EVO, but an EVO filters the oil after it leaves the engine anyway. The TC filters the oil before it enters the engine...more-or-less. I believe you will find there are different recommendations between the EVO and the TC...but if it feels good and works...do it.

It does mention 88 cu in '99-'06 in the column on the right. This artical says to use the same filter for evo or twin cam. But according to Harley, the twin cam filters should have a 5 micron rating, that's what harley recommends. I believe it's that way to catch any of the cam chain tensioners that may shear off in normal usage. The evo's filters have a larger number because they don't have the plastic tensioners.
