leaking primary seal
Has anyone experienced a leaking primary seal after switching from HD formula plus to syn 3. Road King FLHP, 07 with 33,000 on it. Had no leak at all before switch, at first thought it was drain plug, but is definatly coming from seal area, seems strange that it would go from no leaks to leaking with no other changes, first noticed within about 200 miles of fluid change

seems the synthetic oil has a way of flushing out leaky seals, lots of threads about the molecules etc. i changed my seal, it was easy, just mark the screws as you remove them, not sure they are all the same length, good luck!

I was talking about the tranny shaft primary seal, sorry if that wasnt clear, have read in other posts where they say that the synthetic cleans out dirt left by real lube and it was already a bad seal, hard to believe
