I changed the trans to Redline shockproof (that stuff is great for smoothing out the gearbox), but it is also more obvious to see on the floor I get a couple of drops per week but for the life of me I cannot for sure tell where it is leaking from (definitely not drain plugs).
Not sure where the obvious candidates are since it is difficult to see fully around the trans area. Anything obvious to check? Likely a seal? What kind of job is it to pull and replace seals for an average home garage mechanic.
Sounds like the seal to me.They are noted for going bad. Harley has come out with an upgraded seal that has a wider lip so they don't wear out so fast. I had a leaky seal last summer and I run Redline in my tranny also, so I know what was leaking ,the tranny or the primary. My leak was in the primary side. So I replaced all the seals with the upgrade one's.
