Default 9/11 Ride from Cook's Corner to L.B. was a BLAST!!

What's up Everybody, long time no nothin...

Well, after getting another Harley after a long absence and missing the feeling of the wind blowing over my bald head.... and losing touch with some cool cats I've ridden with found here on the forums and out and about.... and after vowing never to be left without a bike to ride and enjoy SoCal's riding adventures....

I was invited to join the Fireman's 9-11 ride by Wild Bill out of Seal Beach, this I think being the 4th or 5th year. There must've been over 1000 bikes that day!

We were escorted by a couple of fire engines. Man, we were busting through every red light, setting of those photo-red-light-cameras ( which was cool, I hope they broke ), and seeing firemen come out from their stations, saluting, waving, everybody honking and revving their engines... it was memorable, it was inspiring.... it was GREAT!

Seeing so many customs, vintage and modern bikes was a treat.... and seeing these hot gals on those bikes was quite nice too...

Oh man, we stopped early at Mother's Bar in Sunset Beach where all happy hour money made went straight to a fund for the families of those fallen firemen.... and I had a BLAST throwing back a few brews, jamming with the band, flirting with this hot Cougar named Nicole there, and meeting Danielle there.... and Wild Bill hooking it up.... well, he had just a bit better time than I did...

What a day to remember: And I realize I am able to have this much FREEDOM and FUN because I live in a country where men do their job ( firemen and police ) in the face of danger.. for they see it as their duty.

I SALUTE YOU GUYS!!!

I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN. HooorAhhhh!

Honor, praise and thanks to whom it is due!

It was a good ride for sure... and a good way to keep the promise that We Will Never Forget !

WS6 Formula was good enough to post pics from last year, and Vids and Pics from this years ride.

Hey Ed, long time no see.

Check out the social groups for the So Cal Nomads if you are looking for some rides. Familiar faces still there.

Hey Primo, Hockey Stick and DanoFive0... what's up!!!!

Yeah I miss riding with y'all BIG TIME!!!

I saw that riding group, I had a feeling JohnnyBoy would end up putting a group together of cool heads and laid back ryders together... thanks Johnny.

So where do I sign up?... do I have to roll in the dirt with my new jacket while y'all pour beer on me and kick dirt or is it more civilized these days?

Do I have to kiss a toothless biker chick? Not again guys, come on... ;-)

Hey Ed, I'm glad you joined us that day! What a fun day! I'm still in Reno. You should have joined us on the ride up here. It was an awesome ride with perfect weather all the way. The air races were awesome with record speeds this year. Let's get together and ride when I get back!
