trying to plan a little trip into your neck of the woods and need a lot of help on what to see going to start coming out of Oregon and down to Francisco.WE are going to the Bear Tooth rally on the 3rd weekend in July and want to head west to see some of the sights along the way want to see the red wood forest and a few wineries and just a general take itall in trip any help would be great thanks
Come down the 101 Coast Hwy. You'll appreciate it. I moved to Oregon in 04 (left due to economy) we went every year down to the Yuma Prison run in the middle of April. It was worth the trip and in my opinion the best bike run out west.
The redwood run is awesome and beautiful riding country too. http://www.redwoodrun.net/
if your coming west you should also try riding through hwy 49 from placerville to Sonora. lots of cool little old gold mining towns and cool bars.

I agree with riding 49. I used to live in Grass Valley and there is some awesome riding in the foothills
Googled 49 that looks like a nice ride thats in . anbody been to alices restuarant ?
Used to be a regular stop for me and my riding buds when I lived in Ca.
On the weekends there are many bikes there and across the street where there is more parking a store and gas.
