Ok, I have a dumb question. What is the secret to removing the fastener (circled in yellow below) on the jiffy stand sensor cable? Thought I should ask before I start trying brute force. :-)

Thanks!

I probably qualify as using brute force. I used a flat head screwdriver to pry the piece out of the hole. I'm guessing the service manual says to remove the old part and replace it with a new one, and technically, that's probably what should be done to be sure the flanges will hold the part in place. I simply pushed the part back into the hole it came out of when I reinstalled. The flanges on the plastic part seem to have expanded to hold it in place just fine.

Thanks!!! I assumed HD considered that to be a one-time-use item. Clearly a normal zip tie is one-time-use but I have never seen what HD used on this bike. :-)

Those push-in anchor ties are all over the Rushmore > M8 bikes. If you pull straight out on them with one of those interior panel removal tools or something that lets you get fully under it to pry, they can come out pretty clean and reusable.
