A fellow named Jesse Davis posted this on another forum. He purchased a 6" x 1.5" "Lava Tube" from Summit Racing and wrapped the hose next to the header pipe. I installed mine the other day, looks like it will solve the problem.

I just did this today. Added an exhaust manifold wrap between the header and the radiator hose. It's a woven titanium insulated blanket/pad type thing held on with stainless steel cable ties and is good for up to 900C (1,652F).
I went out for an hours ride earlier, and when I got back, the outside of the blanket was just warm. Seems to work!
