Hey, any help here would be welcome. I just got a used 2022 Special this week. Been feeling it out and loving it so far. But I'm kind of "stuck" on a couple really simple things and hoping someone could help out?
1. Even in Accessory Mode I can't figure out how to clear the "Side Stand Down" warning. I know there is a simple way to do it but can't figure it out. None of the controls will react while that warning is on the screen. I've been sitting on it and raising the stand but that seems kind of silly.
2. I bought the bike used and it did not come with a printed manual, not sure if the new ones do or not, I have the .pdf of course but it's hard to sort through on the phone in the garage. I wanted to change the front fork damping/rebound. I do have the adaptive suspension (wires out of the top of each fork tube) but when I follow the manual and go to Settings--> Ride Customization there is no choice for "Vehicle Loading" which the manual claims there is. It just 'aint there. Am I missing something or could the previous owner have turned something off?
3. My phone is in the phone list, I have entered the VIN in the HD app and paired my phone, but no data like mileage etc. shows up in the phone app even though I have it with me on the bike. Even if I refresh the app.
Sorry for all the questions but if anyone could help me out it would surely be appreciated!
No 1. No clue, doesnt happen with mine. Sry
No 2. As your suspension adaptive, there is nothing you can change in the settings. The bike will adjust the ride hight automatically as the weight changes. If I remember correctly, if your read the fine print, this adjustment is only for normal suspension.
No 3. I have never in three years been able to get the app to display that information at all.

Just curious - With some many wonderful adv choices - PA, GS, Tiger, Multistrada, Africa Twin, V-Strom, Super Adventure, Super Tenere, Versys, etc. What made you select the PA? Dealer Network, H-D loyalty, best value for the money?

Ducati was just too expensive plus I like to do all my own maintenance and both the Tiger and the Multistrada have some things I'd rather not have to deal with. I realize BMW bikes have a totally different reputation than their cars, but having had some experience with BMW autos I just have no interest in owning anything they make. I have never like Japanese brands, that's just a silly prejudice, I've owned plenty of the them over the years but just don't care for them. Maybe it's on account of my fat American fingers.
I actually had a HD years ago and swore I would never buy another because of a dispute with a dealership, so I purchased in spite of, not because of HD. I had two Victory's that didn't really fit my riding style anymore (I had a Cross Country for my one hour daily commute and an Octane as a toy). Now that I work from home I wanted an ADV bike and after watching all the reviews was leaning toward the HD but didn't think I could afford it. The bike I was looking at as #2 was the Moto Guzzi V85, there is just something about them I like, but I really liked the deal on the HD.
Dealer took my two 6 and 7 year old Victories and $5K cash for a 2022 with 3K miles. That was with the dealer fees, taxes tags etc. So it was a combination of the bike, the deal and when all else is equal I prefer to buy American.

Thanks for the information, #1 it turns out you just have to put the bike in neutral to clear it. #2 you are correct, I did not RTFM closely enough. #3 healed itself somehow. I now can lay in bed at night and check my gas level! Thanks!
Am I missing something in not ordering a manual from the dealer ?
the side stand warning on display is there a code showing in the DIAGNOSTIC setting ?
About the HD App showing mileage, have you connected your phone by cable to the outlet on the right hand side of the bikes display module/ case. It may need or be a one-time way to connect in order to have the two units transfer info.
