I was just wondering if that is a thing. I couldn't find one to order through the website. I wondered if perhaps they have just quit printing them?
the side stand warning on display is there a code showing in the DIAGNOSTIC setting ?
No, it's because the bike is not in neutral, my fault, I just didn't realize it only shows if you are in gear.
About the HD App showing mileage, have you connected your phone by cable to the outlet on the right hand side of the bikes display module/ case. It may need or be a one-time way to connect in order to have the two units transfer info.
It wasn't showing any info at all. Then suddenly it started working. I must have done something right by mistake.

Thanks for your reply.

I have never like Japanese brands, that's just a silly prejudice, I've owned plenty of the them over the years but just don't care for them. Maybe it's on account of my fat American fingers.

I actually had a HD years ago and swore I would never buy another because of a dispute with a dealership, so I purchased in spite of, not because of HD. I had two Victory's that didn't really fit my riding style anymore (I had a Cross Country for my one hour daily commute and an Octane as a toy). Now that I work from home I wanted an ADV bike and after watching all the reviews was leaning toward the HD but didn't think I could afford it. The bike I was looking at as #2 was the Moto Guzzi V85, there is just something about them I like, but I really liked the deal on the HD.

Dealer took my two 6 and 7 year old Victories and $5K cash for a 2022 with 3K miles. That was with the dealer fees, taxes tags etc. So it was a combination of the bike, the deal and when all else is equal I prefer to buy American.
Thanks. I enjoy understanding the reasons people buy certain bikes. I had a Multistrada 1200S. Thrilling bike to ride but I never developed a trust for its reliability, and it constantly goaded me to break the law. I stumbled on a salvage '22 V-Strom 1050 that I really like. It's comfortable, not thrilling, easy to work on and I hear very reliable. The V85 is a bit underpowered for my preference. If Guzzi puts the V100 motor in an Adv, I will reach for the checkbook. Best to you.

As a second input, I chose PA for few reasons - loved the engine and comfort on the test ride, auto ride height adjustment, and simply excitement for a new model from "old school" HD (I've been known to own few V-Rods in the past...) I did not test-ride all the bikes you listed, but did do few. GS was just not for me, don't like the engine, don't like the bulk, and the seat height was a joke. Multistrada was fun, but I already have a built Kawasaki Z900 for hardcore enjoyment, and it felt too skewed towards the sport side. Had a VERY brief ride on Africa Twin, and it lacked power for me.

I really haven't had any issues with mine, and it's one of the first 2021s off the line, so that certainly helps. Love the bike as much as I did when I bought it, it's by far the best do-it-all bike I've ever owned, and I've owned a lot of bikes.

I thought the V Rod was a great idea, I test road one at Daytona Bike Week once. I really hope the Pan Am is not the same story arc. That is one thing that mildly concerned me about buying one. HD has a history of trying good ideas and not really sticking to them or marketing them well. I don't think that will be the case here. When I went to look at them at two different dealers they had them front and center, they weren't forgotten in the back some place like some of Harley's other projects have been.

Well, V-Rods were sold for 15 years. It was the dealers and not Harley that killed it. I really hope that the dealers see the fact that you can't sell RGSs and Ultras forever...
