My dad had a '65 Electra Glide, he used to take me with him. I remember a big rally at Daytona where Harley had a big tent set up with all the new stuff (about 1970). he took me to a NASCAR race at Daytona in 1970 on it. I sure wish I had that bike today.

Warhawks, good luck finding a nice one. The one that I sold for $18,500 had a set of Chinese Zep barrels, a old Rivera pumper carb, and the mousetrap gone, with a repaint.

I dont want a 65 Electra Glide, Id like to have my dads 65 EG. But we lived near the coast in Florida, Im imagine its rusted away to dust long ago.
Hey Dave did your motor come with alloy push tube bottoms in 1965
Well can't say what happened to the bike from the time it was new (1965) until the time I purchased it (October 1970), but the pushrod tubes (upper and bottoms) are chrome steel.

Coastal weather weather for sure plays havoc on aluminum and chrome.. BIL lives in Daytona Beach and hasn't been able to ride for at least the last 10 years due to health issues. Has a 50 chopped Pan that is sitting on his porch area and slowly going to waste because he won't let me or his daughter help him get it out of the elements.
