Hi People. Man I sure could use some help. First off I know an evil spirit lurks in my garage. I'm gonna wright a book with all my crazy stories. Now, What I am working on is my sons 2001 Panzer pan head, which I gave to him 10 yrs ago. I picked it up form his house in trailer and into my garage. I was sad to see how neglected it appeared. I try to pick up once in a while {couple of years} to check it over. I cleaned it up some and took for 10 mile ride. Once home I decided to do a degrease and clean, drained all fluids, replaced with new and did the air and oil filters. While doing this iI found and repaired a few electrical connectors, replaced missing nuts and bolts, things was looking better. Then the Demon took over. I went to start the bike and no fire to the plugs. Rechecking my elect connections from battery to power distribution unit w/a relay {down in front of oil bag} then to back of key switch {3 wires} f the oil to molly ignition module in the distributor and then to coil. Long story short= bad module for the no spark problem. Anywho, new problem!! Started bike right up. sounded good, ran for maybe 30 seconds and I looked down to see the new oil shooting out of the puke vent that comes out down low near the oil pump unit. I shut it down to see all of the oil emptied out of the oil bag. I thought maybe I over filled it. Even oil came out of lower front push rod. I out maybe 2 cups of oil back in oil bag and when i started it, oil shoots right out that little puke hose. Can anybody explain what NOW might be going on?? This bike only has maybe 30k miles on it and I really didn't do anything to it except change the fluids and fixed an electrical problem. The DEMON is winning, Thanks ,Wayne
If memory serves the Panzer motors used the bottom breather evo style oil system, heads got supplied through the lifters and pushrods. Return to the tank is from the pump. Sticky unseated check ball in the oil pump will drain the tank into the cases and cam chest, breather port you saw blowing oil vents from there.
Drain the tank, pop the cap and check the spring and ball in the port, the little cap beside the tower on the oil pump. Get a pan under it and fire it at an idle till she quits puking, don't worry won't hurt the motor plenty oil still in there. Clean it up add 1 quart and try again to see it if things settled out with oil return to the tank.
It still has issues, time for the cam cover getting pulled and the pump looked at, something blocking ports or a key got sheared.
Panzer used to be made there, maybe a grey hair in an indie shop can help. I haven't been into one since 2002.

Oh may want to have a mode move this to the customs or the engine/ mechanical forums, only relation the Panzer had to a panhead is the name tag they used. For what's worth had I been in better position back then I'd have one of those, was in the business and saw a lot of kit choppers come through, Panzer made solid, good running machines.
