help on a pan $$$$
Ok here is the question i found a 49 pan in a barn it is in the rough, with 71000 miles on her and i mean in the rough, How much should i give for it? It looks to be 90% stock. Dont know when the last time it ran either. Some honest feed back would be helpful before i sink a small fortun in it..

What are they asking for it? Does it have an HD title? Try to spin the motor too. Hard to say without seeing it. 90% stock is good as long as you don't have replace most of it. If it's a rust bucket and is locked up I'd say 5k but what the hell do I know. ***** G.

it's worth whatever your willing to give for it.
The title is the most inportant part of this deal though.
I doub't I would start at $5k though.
Ask the seller - period.
But don't expect to get finished and have a bargain - no matter where you start.
If you want a Pan there is no cure.
Seems I have found that the only way to get a Pan worth $10 k is to spend about $20 k on it

Their asking 10k for it which is on the up side i think. But It does kick over, and some rust. A closer inspection this weekend and ill know more. Kickstart, you are right I know its not really worth it market wise especially when you have to put another 10k in it.

10 gs seems a little high,,,,just brought back a 51 motor, a wishbone frame, front end and wheels and tiresfor $6000.00...Had to switch out carb and assemble bike,,,,,runnig very well as a bobber for under 7Gs,,,,,,then a gain it cost me $5800 to build my pan motor.....its a tough call.

A friend of mine found a 36 Knuck in a barn and gave 1k for it. Start low if it's gonna' be a complete teardown to get it on the street. You'll probably put 10k, or better,in it to get it right.
