Glad to hear it was a simple adjustment that got it going right.
Keep in mind older bikes often have debris in the tank, some of it small enough to get into the carb and cause the float to not close completely. If so you might want to take off the petcock and rinse the filter sock and tank to see if you have any issues from there.
Then consider the age of the hoses. They start breaking down inside and allow small rubber crap directly into the carb so you may want to replace the gas line.
Heck if it does have the original gas line it might be better than anything you can buy now ... lol
PROBLEM SOVED!! It was a float issue. Adjusted the float just ever so slightly to get that 1/4" gap from the top and it purrs like a kitten now.
Did you ever figure out how to solve the leaky Low Speed Needle? Gas sprays out of mine while Im kicking it over, but doesnt leak while running. It caught fire on me a few times from backfire. Scares the hell out of me every time I kick my bike over.
