Are you sure you have the coil wired correctly + to bat and - to timer?
Seen some made in Mexico that are POS and will not last but a few miles and crap out. Got a Delco Remy one around perhaps. Where you getting your condensers. Wondering if it the supplier.
Here is a link to another forum that talks about coil failure and will cause grief as well to your condenser
I know the coil is good it works on my brothers 38 knuckle and my dads shovel I have tried all different types of condensors form harley shops and local parts stores.
...the job of the condensor it to keep the points from arcing and pitting...
This got me to thinking but I did not have time today to get out and look through my timers so I will just throw this out and check tomorrow...
Aren't condenser posts isolated? as in some type of Bakelite material, washer or paper gasket that isolates it? so if the points are arcing this would cause condenser to blow? maybe?
I will take a look tomorrow and post a pick of the top (showing post) as well as the underside of the circuit breaker base (where the wire connects). Everything keeps coming back to the timer from what you have posted.
