Radical paint
Need a little help. I have my 2001 fxdwg that had the radical paint set on it. 2 years ago I let my buddy store his bike in my garage and somehow while moving bikes around he failed to fully extend my kickstand causing my bike to fall over onto his road king's crash bar denting my tank and messing up the radical paint that is obsolete and impossible to find. I start doing research I find colormania paint who did the original paint job for the moco back in the day...I'm thrilled I get my tank and rear fender in boxes and send them out to be brought back to new ( fender has some bad peeling from the person who installed it not putting the spacer back when they reinstalled it. supposed to be 3-4 week turnaround....nope 6 weeks later I call and email and get no response so I pull my money out of the escrow service they use and 2 days after that I get an email from him cursing me out...I tell him to fukc off and send back my tins...he doesn't...I'm pissed but nothing I can really do. I do further research and see they guy is a scammer. Now I'm not happy but I recently acquired a full set of almost perfect tins and I want to get my radical paint job done on these tins...does anyone know who would be the best at doing this job? I've read through the forums and seen a few places mentioned but I haven't seen anything that would lead me to believe they can do the job. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Just saw your post. I don't get in here often as I keep pretty busy painting or writing about painting or spending time with the kids. Sorry to hear about your experience. This time of year most painters are booked into next year. People who dropped stuff off in Oct are January paint jobs. I do pretty radical paint work.
