Ask your painter.
Was it baked or air dried? It may be still gassing off after 24hrs but as long as the painter used the products as per tech sheet, you should be able to put it together after 24hrs.
Painter said (put it on) just be careful!!!
I left it in the car and did a few things, came back and the car had a heavy paint smell... I'll give it a couple days... I guess!!!
It was only in the car for about an hour & a half.. Its in the house now... Supposed to be 75-80 degrees here in Ca today. I'll get in in the garage to ramp up the temps... I may start putting it together 2moro..
Sun is supposed to be 81 degrees.....
Your painter did not cure the paint enough, otherwise it would not smell. I would not bolt it on yet, all the pressure points will push the paint away causing it to lift! Do not lean the paint against the car seat for longer than a few minutes as it may leave an imprint on the paint surface! I would put the parts outside under the sun to cure over the weekend. To cure paint; you need heat (above 85F) and air movement.
At Colormania we bake all our paint jobs for 24 - 48 hours at very high temperatures (140F+). This form of Force Curing simulates 6 months of curing time under normal conditions. A costly process, but assures long-lasting shine & quality.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll sit on it a few more days, I have to wait for my powder coat to get done anyway....
yeah id wait a few days, when i got my tank painted i waited 24hrs and put it together. now when i take the dash off you can see the outline of it in the paint.
