Child Needs Prayer in TN
Subject: Prayer Request signing
Prayer request
I am starting a signing for my son's best friend who has cancer (Hodgkin's Lymphoma). He is 11 years old and is not doing well at all. He was diagnosed with this cancer 2 weeks ago and the tumor is next to his jugular vein and entwined in it...it has moved his wind pipe over a inch making it hard for him to breathe. The tumor is the size of a large eggplant and is sitting right above his heart. This little boy needs all the prayer he can get. I would like you to sign this and pass it on to as many people as you can. Once we get to a thousand people can you please send this back to me at:
_1volsgirl@bellsouth.net_ When I get the 1000 people that have signed it...I am going to print this up for my sons best friend and show him how many people care and how many people are praying for him to get better. If you have a heart at all you will all do this for me. I love this child as though he is my own and we really need all the prayers!
Thank you, Peggy Lesley

Dude - you gotta go to www.snopes.com before posting this. At the very best, this has been around for 2 years and no one has been able to confirm if it's a hoax.

If you have to spend your life deciding who's worthy of legitimate prayer, then you'll spend your life doing research rather than praying. Let God take care of the hoaxters.

Actually, I think God does care how you go about doing things. I Cor. 14 verse 40 says "Let all things be done decently and in order." I think this pretty much says it all. We are also to be good stewards of all our resources and praying for a someone who doesn't exist is a waste of precious prayer time and gives no one joy except Satan. You have been deceived. In closing, it never hurts to be corrected when wrong ... Proverb 15 verse [32] "He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding."
Cheers,
Bill.
PS. This is a hoax, as are most emails asking for something now days. At my job (IT) of the 96,000 emails PER DAY that travels my networks, 92% are spam, hoax, or virus. By forwarding these emails you only make people with jobs like my mine harder. Thanks.
And BTW, thanks for quoting scripture to me. You would make quite the Pharisee.
My point was that if we do something in the right spirit, God will understand. No one is perfect, certainly not me, so if I didn't check with snopes before posting because I didn't even know what snopes was, God will not think my prayers are in vain. And I've never thought He expected me to be wasting His time when I came to him with a prayer request which wasn't accurate. Maybe your God is not the same an mine. Mine's never too busy to spend time with me.
