Derby cover removal question

Default Derby cover removal question

Do you recommend Lock-tite or antisieze on the bolt threads?

imo its visited to often for oil/clutch adjustment so I dont bother and have never had an issue,not even a leak.

Just replaced the screws with chrome ones on mine, there was none on the screws when I removed the old ones,
and none was mentioned in the shop manual either.....just some torque applied to em.....as in inch pounds.

No Locktite for me, thank you. Those Torx 27 bolts are notorious for "getting tight" their own and then easily being stripped when you go to take them out. BTW, I have never seen any coming from the factory with Locktite on them.

After having to extract a "wallowed out" one, I replaced the dinky torx head screws in mine w/socket heads. End of problem.
