Green fluid 2004 wide glide?

Green fluid 2004 wide glide?

I've began to notice a green murky fluid on the garage floor after rides. Its only a drop or 2 every time and it appears to be coming from behind the primary. Any idea what this may be?

Pull the dipstick out of the transmission and see if the fluid is green. Pull the inspection cover off the primary cover, see if the primary lube is green.

Be sure the trans and primary are not overfilled.

Some of the Amsoil Gear Oil is green, never saw any green engine oil. What Dan says aught to do it. When checking the trans, remember not to screw it in when you check. Transmission output seal seeping is a pretty common failure, Ive seen 3 this year.

Yes,the Lightweight Shockproof is green.

Thanx guys it was the tranny fluid changed it out and no more leaks but still don't understand why it was green or why it was leaking but i"ll keep an eye on it. Thanx again.

I've seen green engine oil- Polaris synthetic 0W-40 ATV oil is green, but I doubt anyone would run it in a HD tranny. Fork oil is also many times green...
