Speedo error correction!!

Speedo error correction!!
I have an 01 Dyna, 124 T S &S motor, chain final drive 24/48 sprocket, std 25/36 chain primary. I used a Thunderheart speed sensor to recalibrate the speedo 11% to correct the speed error with the taller gearing. Final gearing is 2.88/1
Last fall, the speedo suddenly dropped about 20klms/hr, instead of reading 80 @ 2100 rpm, it started to read 60klms/hr@2100rpm. I have made several attempts to use the setting on the Thunderheart adj sensor to correct this, but there is no changes at the speed. The sensor seems to take the new settings, all the approriate flashes etc, but no changes happen at the speedo.
Is this still likely to be the speed sensor, or have I got a speedo going down. All other functions on speedo are normal. Thanks in advance for any help. Fastrider 124
