Other than Makers Mark, which distilleries offer the most scenic rides on the way? We don't want to deal with Louisville traffic. Would like to do a couple days of scenic loops.
Depending on how far rom Bardstown you want to head... HWY 62 West to Land Between the Lakes, the Buffalo Trace is GREAT its about a 50 mile stretch. ~200 miles from bardstown, you can take bluegrass parkway and get there by highway speeds although pretty much the whole length of the HWY 62 ride is worth the time. Bardstown is a neat little town.. enjoy

Four Roses/Woodford Reserve. Any of the backroads around the Frankfort/Lexington areas are pretty. +1 on avoiding the Louisville traffic, but once you get 15-20 miles out of town, it ain't bad.
