Rocky, thanks for the smoke update. We are in Glacier where the haze from the smoke is very evident. Enough to make us change our plans. We are no longer planning on visiting BC. We will save it for another year and will plan on spending more time up there now I have read all your recommendations on roads!!

I can't disagree with your decision. This evening I couldn't even see across the valley.
Soooo.. I found a Custom fabricator on Vancouver Island who will replace the frame neck with a new stock rake one .... I sourced online .... so I will pack the Pan up in the fall, take it to my brothers place, who also resides on Vancouver Island, and my brother will strip the Pan , get the frame blasted down to bare metal, the fabricator will redo the frame back to stock, my brother will get it powder coated, then reassemble with stock exhaust, pogo seat, floorboards and a few other stock items. Plus a set of bubble bags and rear fender rack. The paint will stay as is.
This should be done by June of next year. I will then fly down and ride it home and install some small details.
Darla3 should be lite "tour ready" next summer. Full tour ready the following year..... Just about when I will be ready for Europe......
