Today's Friday Rideday was kind of fall like. Low 60's to start and never got above the mid 70's. Nice and sunny though. I hadn't been up to Wisconsin for awhile, so that's where I spent my day.
I was gone just over 9 hours. I hope to get in a few hundred more before the weekend is over.
Overcast all morning, with a slight chance of rain. Come noon, there was still no rain, so I went for a ride.
I headed west, hoping to find sunshine.

Iowa was sunny and warmer. I took 136 from Clinton to Wyoming, then it was 64 to 62 to 52 to 64. I took a side trip off of 64 down to Thomson, then back roaded it back to 64, home. One of my back roads screwed me and turned into a gravel road. I rode the gravel for about 3 miles.
Wisconsin never screws me on road surfaces. If the road starts paved it stays paved. In Illinois, you never freakin know.
Ended up being a good ride. Hoping for more tomorrow.
Labor Day ride. Left at 11:30am and was home by 4:30pm. Had my daughter not been going back to college today, I'd have rode all day. This was by far the nicest day of the weekend.
Rode down the illinois River on the west side, crossed over in Lacon and rode back up the east side. A covered bridge just outside Princeton. Not bad, considering this is season three.
Was out late last night for a Cubs / Brewers game....Cubs won! So this morning I was a bit sluggish, and therefore I got a late start for Friday Rideday. I just cruised some twisties to Savanna then rode the Great River road down to Port Byron. From there it was more country backroads, twisties.
It was a good day. A bit fall like to start, cool and overcast. Then summer like. Off with the jacket, down to a tank top.
I cut the ride a bit short, since my daughters are home for the weekend. They arrived shortly before me.
Gonna wear this thing out. I was on Stage Coach Trail when i hit 70,000.
Another great Friday Rideday.....not that anyone other than me cares....😎.
Went down south of I-80, where it was 10 plus degrees warmer. Rode along the Illinois River and as many back roads as I could while making my way home.
A little shorter ride today than normal. Slept in a bit and got home in time to go see my daughter for her birthday, and visit with the grand kids.
