Wind therapy.
Went out for a little ride, at noon.
Believe it or not I got rained on, just a few minutes prior to this photo.
Looking down the Rock River.
Looking up the Rock River.
After this, I mowed a couple of lawns.
I got cleaned up and decided to go grab a bite to eat.
KFC seemed like a good choice.
All in all, a good day.
Ready to ride my Dad's bike, wearing my Dad's jacket. The jacket is over 40 years old. It'll be 6 months, since we lost him, in another week.
No issues while riding it today, but it did backfire when I went to start it after fueling it up.
But I can't wait forever. It was a 25mph wind, out of the south, so I headed south.
It was nice to get pushed home.
I left at 4:30pm and rode down to and around the Starved Rock area. Got home before the sun set.
I finally have hair that can blow in the wind again!!
Not a bad afternoon. The wife went out with her sister and some other gals, so that pretty much made my decision to ride a no brainer. More warmth tomorrow.....but more high winds too.
Ordered me a pizza once i got home. I know what my lunch will be tomorrow.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Winds are still super crazy, but I managed to get the wife out for a late afternoon ride.
We headed down to the Psycho Silo Saloon, near Langley.
She just had to buy me one of those shirts hanging behind us.
The Silo is a pretty cool place.
This may be a hint as to how I got her to go with me.
Diet Coke....not my favorite.
The it was north to Byron, for dinner.
I'm a lucky guy.
Night was falling as we headed home.
All in all, a good day. East and west travel was a bit irritating, with gust up to 30 or 35 mph, and a pretty constant 25 mph wind. Temps dropped to 87 as night fell.
