Wind therapy.
Wednesday night date night.
Took a trip to try a friends bar, which he's owned for just a few months.
Wednesday night is chicken night. We both had the 2pc white meal.
Time to head home.
Things were less windy and a bit cooler than our last ride.
72 degrees actually felt a bit chilly; so jackets were on.
Just a short ride. It should have been shorter but we ran into multiple rail road crossing closures.
72 degrees, sunny and light winds, at 9am. After about an hour the winds decided to blow once again, out of the west. I got up to hwy 59 just west of Albany and decided I was going east, with the wind. I did that until I got to White Water, then it was south back into Illinois.
My granddaughter had a softball game at 5:30pm, so I made that part of my ride. They won.
After the game I headed home, in a round about way, via the Rock River.
The winds were dying down and the temps, which had hit the mid 80's, were dropping.
After this pic, my jacket went on. After having the sun beat down on you all day your body seems to think 72, and no sun, is cold.
It was a good ride, and I needed it. The bike rolled past 113,000 miles as well.

Finally, no heavy winds and mid 70's for the temp.
Watched a jet take off in Rockford.
Its an Amazon jet.
Did you use Prime?
A cruise down the Rock River did the trick today.
Had an hour or so before the wife got home, so....
No wind.
Uppeer 70's.
Empty roads.
Good times.
After dinner I found myself with a couple of hours until nightfall, so......
No winds.
Low 70's.
Empty roads....except for the bugs.
Better times.
We haven't gotten out on the bike nearly enough.
First time here. Sledgehammer's Bar & Grill. Its loaded with bikes on the weekend.
The happy couple.
The Hammered Chicken. Very good.
Every mile counts.
80 degrees at 8am.
Went and hung out with my grandson, while my granddaughter had gymnastics practice. We had a fun 4 hours.
Took the long way home and had this moment of joy.
Pretty much doubled the distance by coming home via the Rock River. It was 100 degrees with 20 mph winds on the way home.
Friday Rideday.
First stop, 100 miles in, an HD dealership in Kewanee.
The Night Rod was the right choice today.
I ran across to that Casey's and grabbed a snack, and enjoyed it on the front porch of the dealership.
Went though a state park on my way up 78.
Nice park.
Hardly anyone in it.
Love this bike.
Such a nice day today. Low 80's, light winds, low humidity.....just awesome.
Pretty cool barn.
What's under the rock?
Well, that explains the barn.
I could barely see inside.
Looked like it'd be a nice park to camp in, if you're into that kind of thing.
Stopped at the Psycho Silo Saloon, for a " drink"........aka: diet Coke.
This place is always worth a stop.
Stretched my legs at another dealership, in Rock Falls.
Enjoyed todays weather, so much.
Not bad for a 6 hour day, with multiple stops. Had to be home for a retirement party for a former coworker.
I won't even get into the dog I hit, slightly, the car that crossed my lane, which i barely missed, and the guy on the riding mower, coming at me, on a blind curve, on a one way road around the lake at the state park. I survived all three.
The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
The wife and I took a ride today. Beautiful day. Only in the 70's.
Grabbed some lunch. First time here.
Interesting car.
I had to try their chicken strips. The wife had fish tacos. Both were really good.
After lunch we went into Wisconsin, found our way to Baileys Run Winery, just outside New Glarus. No pics from there, but it was packed. From there it was backroads home.
I wasn't having a very good morning, but a ride should always help.
The weather was awesome again today, but the 90's will be back tomorrow.
The road always clears my mind, but thoughts of my Dad were with me all day.
Stopped by the Mississippi River in Savanna.
This was near the Palisades State Park.
Millers boat launch, to be exact.
A selfie on the bike.
The day did not disappoint.
This was the third day in a row where I rode 230-ish miles. Once home the wife and i jumped in my Jeep and went to dinner. Texas Roadhouse hit the spot tonight.
