Adventures with the "Scorpios"
Today the weather was very co-operative and it was the day to finally take down the big spruce tree in our front yard. It had been laboring, and leaning, and with our high winds at times off Lake Huron we were afraid that it just may come down on its own someday.
So, my Arborist friend Scott, who owns his own company called “Big Wood” Tree Service came by to execute the removal this morning. He had along with him his crew of 3, one being Scotts son. They removed that tree and cleaned up all within a one hour time frame.
It was amazing to watch these professionals work.
Many thanks Scott and crew!
Attached are some of the many pictures to enjoy of the tree being removed.
Cheers, Terry
Scott in the bucket and removal to begin.
Like I said Professional with all the right equipment.
Almost to the top and amazing to watch them work.
Just the stump left in the ground which was quickly ground out.

Very expensive to have trees cut down in our area, and yes, I got a deal.
All that aside they did a great job and did the cleanup.
Cheers, Terry
Trust me, I know. Just spent a little over $2k to bring a large oak down last year. Just jabbing you.
First ride of 2022!
Before heading out, a quick trip over to Jame’s garage for a quick clutch cable lube and adjustment. James is an acquaintance of mine, and is a certified Harley Mechanic with 25+ years experience. He does work out of his garage (pic attached), while balancing his day career as in Tradesman Ironworker.
Once lube and adjustments were made it was off for a ride up and under the Bluewater Bridges that connect Canada to the United States at Sarnia, Ontario.
A little chilly today so was a short outing.
More to come! The riding season has begun!
Cheers, Terry

Well equipped with parts to conduct repairs.

The Best of Harley-Davidson for Lifelong Riders
Yesterday was Friday the 13th and there is a huge bike rally here in Ontario in a town on Lake Erie called Port Dover. My friend Paul and I opted out as its a 525 km round trip and a long day, especially since Paul is healing from having a broken foot that occurred in February.
So we headed out for some, as Jeffro would say. “Wind therapy”. We ended up in a small rural town called Paincourt, Ontario for a bite and a beer at the Central Tavern. We logged 130 miles, (210 Kms for our Canuck friends) and pretty fair for the first ride out. Weather was great (mid 80’s) but cooler weather is coming to us this coming week.
Enjoy the pics from our day.
Cheers, Terry
Arrival at the “Central Tavern” in Paincourt Ontario. Bike nights here every Thursday on their patio.

With our up and down weather of late sorry to say there hasn’t been much riding taking place. A week ago we needed the central air, and now with a few morning the furnace needed to be fired up.
So, today was grass cutting day, once again ahead for three days of predicted rain.
Finished the yard chores and then proceeded to do some repairs on the Harley trailer. It has been in need of some TLC as far as the internal cabinet was concerned. The hinges on the doors were rusted and a few broken. Of course why not paint the doors while I had them removed. Power washed the inside today ready for internal paint which is the plan once the interior dries out. I have attached a few pics of the completed, and re-installed cabinet doors.
What’s else to do on a rainy Wednesday!
Enjoy, more to come.
Cheers, Terry
