Ya that grate bridge is different going across. One thing I found out is if you go 25-30 m.p.h over it yo will not get the wiggle effect. The new bridge should be done in November. It was beautiful over there this past weekend.
Thursday night I stayed in Keokuk and had a fun time downtown. Good ribs at one of the bars I can not remember. Driftwood 19 had fun karaoke.
Friday I rode up to Savanna and stayed at the L&M Motel. The owners have changed here and its not so much biker #1 priority anymore. When I stayed here 2 years ago it was cleaner. Kind of getting run down. Savanna downtown was very slow on Friday night. That afternoon I rode into Sebula and also Hanover to have a beer. My cousin met me here from Minneapolis.
Saturday we rode up the Iowa and Minnesota sides to Hastings. Beautiful ride and the weather was perfect. Hastings was a lot of fun downtown at The Depot. The Hastings Inn was a little rough, but all I did was sleep here.
Came home Sunday and all in all the trip was fantastic. The leaves were just starting to get somewhat colorful. Sad its over with
