Natchez Trace
As to the speed limit, I am OK with it at 50 knowing I can set it at 53-55 and be fine you just have to realize going in that your speed limit is going to be low. When you travel the Trace a lot as I do (1-2 times week) you get a better understanding of why the speed limit is low. While the traffic on the Trace is light you can bet you are going to come across bicyclist fairly often which often causes traffic to slow while cars are waiting to pass. Wildlife is abundant on the Trace it is extremely rare that I am on the Trace and do not have an encounter with deer, higher speeds would likely equal more accidents. The biggest thing I believe are the folks that are always braking at every road sign or turn off along the way, as you know you often go no more than 5 miles without a historic sign or turn off. Folks are always slowing and tapping the brakes to see what the sign says or trying to decide if they want to turn off. I think higher speeds and the fact so many are more tuned into phones than the road would equal more folks getting hit from the back.
All in all I feel much safer on the HD on the Trace with the lower speed as you know for the most part the autos are going to be traveling slower and taking less chances
