Thanks. That is how we planned our route already intentional or not! Good to know we did something right.

First off. You need to make a list and then move things between "must see/do" and "nice to see/do". You will not be able to fit everything.

As many have mentioned Beartooth would be cool but check the map. It is over 6 hours just drive time. You will burn a full day just getting there.
+1

if you've never been to the Black Hills, spend the week there, else may be spread way too thin. Easy to have a great time riding the Hills for a week. Find one central spot to stay, ride out of there. Great suggestions above.

+1 on picking up a paper map at any local gas station too. Free. It'll have all the 'rally rides' on it etc. Easy way to go.

Is the goal to piggyback w/ Sturgis Rally etc?

are you riding BACK to Georgia as well?

Beartooth etc is great, but, if you don't have the time, it'll spread you way too thin- do it on a different trip and hit Glacier etc. Another day.....

Maybe I missed it but I didn't see the Crazy Horse Memorial listed.
Not to far from Mt Rushmore, it make's a great memory and when you go there again you can do comparative photos to observe the progress.
We were there in '89 or '90 and it's interesting to see how much the Memorial has changed and how little we have!
Great riding and if you get up to the Devil's Tower you may want to do a return trip via Aladdin, WY and be sure to visit the little general store there.

Good advice here. Also include the Needles highway and Vanocker Canyon. The Moonshine Gulch Saloon is also a fun stop. Here's the map folks use to find their way around. I like the Hill City area so much I'm moving there to retire in a few years.

This is a good read about the Touring Hills. Bob's a cool guy.
