When you say overpriced rooms do you mean like 300 a night? I was checking rooms now and they are around 150-200. Any hotels you recommend? How safe is it there? Do people steal stuff from bikes? Should i bring a helmet lock? Do you see many outlaw clubs there? I am pretty psyched about going. Do you think riding solo is a bad idea?

If you need a Helmet Lock, check out my products at HelmetLockLLC.com you can quickly lock your helmets, jackets, and accessories with our braided steel cables. You can use the second cable to lock your bike to a friend's bike or to a pole it will slow them down. When they see your bike cabled to something they know it is easier to go down the street and steal someone else's bike then sit there trying to cut a 7X19 braided steel cable, with bolt cutters it will just flatten and fray and they will sit there working it for a couple minutes and give up, they can't be gone in 30 seconds like they like to be. We are giving the HDForum members a 40% off coupon code for a limited time it is hlk6 put it in the coupon box at checkout. The vast majority of people buy a Helmet Lock Kit in Chrome or Black and a 6-foot cable with would regularly be $69.90 but right now you will get that for just under $42.00. Go to the website and watch the videos of how it works at the bottom of the home page, it shows my friend mounting on his new StreetGlide and his custom Chopper.

Im willing to pay up to 160.00 a night, if someone else is going to go with you then you can split the room and save the money or get a better place to stay. I would lock up an expensive helmet, or bring a second cheap half helmet for around town riding. Use a lock on a detachable sissy bar, and a torx round headed bolt for a expensive seat. Just go and have a good time, dont overthink it. 1%ers I think they just need their space, show respect and mind your own business around them and all should be good.

As I get older I tend to ride solo, I cant take other peoples drama on long rides and vacation days. Just did Outerbanks bike week in April by myself and had a great time.

Wednesday and Thursday you can find something from $100 -$200 per night and probably about $250 per night on Friday and Saturday. As with all big bike events, crime and theft are always a possibility but I have not experienced any myself nor heard of any issues in 11 consecutive years. Just use common sense, be aware of your surroundings and park where there's high visibility and traffic. As for outlaw clubs, I don't see much of that and OCPD keeps a close eye on things. They have mobile commands ready to respond and even send down extra state troopers for the event. Nothing to worry about. What days are you thinking of going?

You “summa’ renta’s” just keep away from 120th street, with your loud pipes and burnouts! LMAO!
Honestly though, it’s huge, and there’s lots to do. The cops aren’t that bad there, I’ve never been pulled over, and I’ve done some crazy ****. Drive with some semblance of common sense, and you’ll be fine. They’re mainly after the crotch rocket crowd anyway. They’re the ones that cause the trouble. It really is one of the best rally’s there is. And, the beach is absolutely beautiful! I believe it’s ranked in the top ten beaches of the United States

This chase video at ocmd bike week had me in tears. This guy is doing 150 down coastal highway like a boss. You ever see anything like that. The comments said he went like 30 blocks at that speed.

That’s not the guy who ended up dying is it? There was pieces of him all over the place.

I'm fortunate enough to live in Salisbury, MD. Only about 25 mins from Ocean City. I've been going every year for the past 6 years. Although, this will be my first year on a Harley. There's awesome events all the way from the Harley dealer in Seaford, DE down to ocean city. Salisbury holds an event at the minor league baseball stadium here, its awesome. Tons of vendors and tons of bike. My kids love bike week, and they're all girls! Lol. Definitely worth the 150 mile trip.
