I need to ride from Bradenton to Cocoa Beach to meet some friends. From there we’re heading to Key West. Any recommendations for a nice leisurely ride from Bradenton to Cocoa Beach would be appreciated. I’m thinking of A1A down the coast most of the way on the trip towards the keys. I have a friend in the keys who will show us around, and then back to Bradenton. I don’t live in Florida so any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
I can't really give you expert advice on Bradenton to Cocoa Beach---but from there to Key West I,ll chime in----If leisurely is what you want A1A from Cocoa Beach to about West Palm will be about what you can take of stop and go---get off near West Palm[just north] and head to 27 s and take that to 997 Krome road that will put you on 1 south
from there when you see intersection for 1 and Card Sound road -take Card sound road--it will take you back to 1 --that,s your only way to Keys---try to avoid doing this on a weekend---Duval Street and Mallory Square are a must---enjoy---sunset cruise for the OL helps also
If you are in Bradenton and your final destination is Key West, why not meet up with them near Port St Lucie much better ride to the east coast then Coco Beach...then head south....let me tell you trying to cross underneath Orlando it really sucks....

From Bradenton, take 70 over to Okeechobee, then 710 to West Palm, meet your friends there. Nice trip across state that way, I have done it probably 100 times.
I agree staying south would be better, but we might do one day at Daytona bike week before we head south. So no I’m thinking Bradenton to Daytona.
In that case take 301 north towards Ocala then 40 towards Daytona----I,ve done that a couple times and found it relaxing---if in a hurry scoot up 75 for awhile then get off
