Rolling Thunder
I don't remember how many people were estimated in the ride. They started leaving at 12 riding out by two's as fast as they could. We puled out at 1:45.
The last ride will be next Memorial Day weekend, on Sunday, May 26, 2019, a spokeswoman for the organizing group confirmed to CNN.
Organizers said the costs of putting on the national ride have become prohibitive, with last year's event costing about $200,000 in various related expenses.
"It was a tough decision for us to make," spokeswoman Nancy Regg told CNN. Instead of the gathering at the nation's capital, there will be regional events organized by various chapters to honor those killed in action or who were prisoners of war, according to the group.
Last year due to RT National not wanting to foot the bill anymore, very expensive for them to put it on. I understand that a lot of other RT Chapters will do local support runs in the coming years.

Rolling Thunder began in Washington in 1987 after Artie Muller, who served in the Vietnam War as an infantry sergeant, sought to call attention to veterans in need and prisoners of war.
In a statement Thursday, Muller said Rolling Thunder XXXII, scheduled for 2019’s Memorial Day weekend, would be “the final Thunder Run in D.C.”
“As a result of changing times the organization and Mission needed to be reorganized and reevaluated,” the statement said. “Reasons which determined our decision were the Pentagon Security Police/Washington Police officials continued lack of cooperation, increased harassment to our supporters and sponsors.”
